Families with ASD
Helping Families with Autism,
   Right Here, Right Now

Families with ASD, a grassroots, non-profit 501 (c) 3 public charity organization, has been proudly helping families living with autism in the Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky Area since March of 2005.

What started out as a small autism support group founded by Gregory and Julia Ann Smith to help their son who had been diagnosed with autism, has grown into one of the largest grassroots autism non-profits in the state of Ohio.

Families with ASD is the proud founder of the Autism Expo, the Autism Yellow Pages ©, the “I am an Adult with Autism” TM Awareness Campaign, and the first in the region Autism Family Resource Center. The Autism Center acts as a “Point of Entry” for families new and old to the autism diagnosis. Families with ASD offer all of this and much, much more to anyone touched by autism, which includes: families, educators, doctor offices, hospitals and other organizations. There are no membership fees, and all the above-mentioned are always completely free to families.

Families with ASD has NO paid staff and is completely run by volunteers. Most of the volunteers have a loved one with autism and must hold down full time jobs to support their families. They volunteer what little free time they have left over to help the 500 plus families that are serviced by Families with ASD.

Families with ASD has partnered with many organizations over the past 7 years to help spread autism awareness and work for the betterment of families living with Autism.

They have partnered with:
  •  Xavier University to offer classes to the Adults with Autism Population.
  •  Wendy’s Restaurants to promote Autism Awareness, with the Autism Burger Bashes.
  • Kroger's Neighborhood Program to raise funds and awareness for the Autism Center.
  • Vintage Market and Thrift, a 2nd hand store that makes donations to the Autism Family Resource Center.
  • Moonstone Salon in Anderson, Oh. They have Salon-a-thons to help spread awareness and raise funds for the Autism Family Resource Center.
  • Tri-Health and Families with ASD partner to offer an Autism Health and Fitness Expo in April.
  • Stonekry Resale Books: Sells books and helps spread autism awareness.

Families with ASD is a grassroots organization, and relies solely on donations and fundraisers, and with the recent economy, they need your support now, more than ever. Since Families with ASD is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, your donation will be tax deductible to the extent of the law. Also, Families with ASD has no paid staff, so your full donation will go to help Families with ASD better serve the 500 plus families living with autism in the Greater Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky Area.

We thank you for your time and your support.
